About
Our Objectives
The Association promotes and advances scholarship and informs policy in interprofessional education and collaborative practice worldwide in partnership with patients, colleagues, communities and other organizations.
The Association:
- Cultivates a common vision for interprofessional education and collaborative practice for health care;
- Facilitates interaction and exchange between its members;
- Promotes, collects and disseminates research to improve interprofessional education and collaborative practice;
- Develops quality indicators and guidelines for interprofessional education and collaborative practice;
- Informs relevant national and international policies to enhance interprofessional education and collaborative practice.
In support of these objectives, the Association:
- Recruits individuals and organizations as members;
- Retains the Journal of Interprofessional Care as its official publication;
- Organizes and supports international conferences;
- Maintains an Internet list of experienced members available as a resource to fellow members and others;
- Facilitates an international exchange between members including students, practitioners, managers, teachers, and policy makers;
- Maintains a website and publishes an electronic newsletter.
